I think it would be a good idea to see blank ammunition in the game, whether lootable or craftable from normal ammunition (combine pliers with normal ammunition, make one blank).

 

Would be perfect for handing a weapon with blanks over to someone to test their trust, although the differences in the ammunition icon would have to be subtle.

 

Since firing blanks at close range in the real world can still be lethal, I guess this would also have to be a part of it.
