TENT! Why u no place!

Obviously no one else is having as much trouble as me placing a tent as trhere dosent seem to be much on the subject (or from the key words that actually picked up something in my search)

It keeps telling me i must place it on a flat surface free of objects (pretty logical really)

I lugged it around for ages, trying all sorts of flat places (even where i knew theyd be seen and raided) just to see it in action.

Then i see a few videos on you tube and these guys have them in in all sorts of places that seemed worse than where i was trying.

Any happy campers got any tips for me? Although i dont have one right now (had to ditch it for space) im really miffed about the whole ordeal.

I saw a thread from a guy who had a neat trick that works to place tents.

1. Aim at the ground

2. Open Gear (g)

3. Try to place the tent (it will fail)

4. While gear still open, tap S (to walk backwards a little)

5. Try placing again

6. Repeat this over and over until it works. It will eventually place.. and almost anywhere except indoors.

What Rachet said. Although I would recommend holding shift when you're walking backwards/forwards so you get smaller increments of movement.
