It's a very nice gun, but it degrades much too fast right now. After about a hundred rounds (4 mags) the pristine one I had got ruined, while I can shoot 200+ rounds easily with the MP5. 

 

The .45 ACP caliber should do more damage than the MP5, at least in stopping power, but it took at least 3 to 4 shots to kill infected, while the 1911 also chambered in .45 ACP takes only 1 shot to kill them, no matter where you shoot. So you better get headshots with the UMP, or you might get in trouble. You can check out some PVP videos to see it in action. (Toperec's one when he first got hands on one is pretty cool, and shows how much it degrades too.)

 

I like the UMP, but it needs a buff, and a fix for getting damaged too fast. I remember when the MP5 was first implemented, it was very similar in terms of degrade factor, and it got fixed after 1 or 2 patches.

 

Fingers crossed the UMP will get some attention soon.  ;)
