MouseEatsMan 0 Posted August 11, 2015 Long-form, background:I've searched this in multiple places, but the most information that I can find is at this point dated. I understand that commander is useless now and that official DayzMod has been added to steam. While I REALLY appreciate the implementation of BattleEye I can't seem to get connected to any of the old maps. I hadn't played DayZ in about a year and want to dive back into gameplay. After installing then launching Arma II, OA, and Day Z Mod in order from Steam without error I moved to the vanilla launcher to attempt server connections where it once again launched and connected without error. At that point I wanted to go back to my past favorite, Origins. I downloaded Origins and placed it within the OA DIR and ensured the addon folder was properly copied. I launched the dayz mod launcher where it loads a server list but it doesn't see the origins mod. DIR in the launcher settings is correct. Additionally, it recognizes the DayZ vanilla mod but it always says corrupted even though Steam verification says it's fine. Win7 64 bitI've re-installed multiple times.Short-form, goals:-Ability to find and play on Origins servers, looking for a how-to with above issue/bug considered-Not-so-important-side-goal, where/how to download Origins server so I can help keep it alive. MouseEatsMan 0 Posted August 11, 2015 Still searching and working through this on my own. Here's what I have;-For the launcher enable Force HTTP Download and save-in Steam right click OA, properties, install beta-right click the beta, startup parameters "-mod=EXPANSION;@DayZOrigins" -nosplash -world=empty -nopause An alternative launcher is http://board.germandayz.de/downloads/dayz-origins/origins-mod-launcher-100/296?PHPSESSID=d892bd3bcb880a69123f5a11d5f3867fThis is the official launcher for the Origins pack. I opened ports 6881 and 2302 on my router as I saw that it used them. not sure if that was necessary.
