I have discovered a new way to up the FPS

Recommended Posts

Get rid of those launch parameters. Seriously. I was reading through the feedback tracker, when I came across one post about random memory leaks. The moderator told him his files he attached were using launch parameters, and to get rid of them, as the game doesn't support them. I figured I'd give it a try.

With launch parameters in Cherno: 5-12 fps.

Without: 25-35 fps.

The fps was more stable, without many random drops or freezing. This blew my mind. I don't know if it works for everyone, but it sure worked for me. I think this is why people say the performance has gotten worse as updates came. After a while, everyone added those parameters because they thought they helped. But they really got worse as the game progressed. I hope this helps you beautiful people.

I'll bite, been having a memory leak on my old AF 4gig dual core so it's worth a try.

Nope, no worse either.

Kept -nosplash and -nopause but don't see how those would affect anything.

How do you do what the OP said?

If you don't know how to enable the launch parameters than you probably don't have any to erase.

I don't know what it is then. I didn't have a memory leak to fix though. All I know is It gives me better frames in towns. Although it did get as low as 15 fps in Berezino.
