cooling down in vehicle

I noticed that when you are driving a truck you are cooling down rapidly, even to the point of hypothermia. This seems odd because it is an enclosed (small cabin) environment, the windows are not broken. Even if there would not be a heater you would not cool down as fast. I was driving around about half the island but had to stop midway to make a fire to heat up again because I started "shaking violently". Maybe there could be an option of turning the heater on, at the expense of some fuel maybe?

 

BTW I haven't been able to test refueling yet in the game. If you approach the tank with a jerry can you will get the option to refuel? Is this the only way to refuel in the game at this moment?
