Freshup3D 0 Posted July 2, 2012 Hey Guys,everytime i log out..its perfectly fine.But when i log in again..my character is gone and i have to start a new one....that really sucks. Right here.Sounds like you're new so, just FYI. If a server is "no cd key", "private" etc... or even blacklisted from the HIVE, your progress won't save. Basically those servers are running their own DB, and your data would (should?) save for THAT server only. Try to stay away from those. Espically the "no cd key" servers. They are being run by hackers, most of the time without battleye being on, which usually means they are running cheats. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
VLG Castiel 3 Posted July 4, 2012 ^You are playing on private servers.The official DayZ servers are connected to the official DayZ Hive which stores all character information. Changing between the hundreds of these servers will always save your progress, your character will be in place. Private servers have their own database, you'll have to connect to the same server to keep playing on the same character. Some don't even have a database and you'll just start over and over everytime you relog.Look for the official ones, they follow a naming convention and they'll always have BattlEye enabled.
