eXon-Simon 2 Posted June 24, 2015 Were they wearing helmets/hats/any headgear? My buddy was wearing a ballistic helmet in pristine condition. 3rd hit made him fall unconscious. Here's a quote from the log... 22:32:45 | "Player [eXon]Sonderbar(id=xxx) has fallen into unconsciousness."22:32:45 | "[eXon]Sonderbar(uid=xxx) has fallen into unconsciousness. HARD HIT Total S::11857.8" Here comes the funny thing: His helmet just degraded to the status worn. Moreover, he gained consciousness 45 seconds after he passed out. There are several things unclear:Current knowledge does not apply anymore: He should have been way longer unconscious, the rate he was reducing his shock level is just ridiculous... No epipens or CPR was used, he just got bandagedThe stats in the logs cannot be taken serious OR they tremendously modified unconscious mechanics

No epipens or CPR was used, he just got bandagedI was knocked out during this patch by several leg and torso shots from an AK74 at green mountain. My buddy drove the attacker away from me with some RAK bursts and bandaged me. I was unconscious for easily 10 minutes. I'm not sure if your helmet experiment is a sure sign that trauma is restored at a much higher rate than we saw previously. Then again, I had lost a serious amount of blood and two saline bags only brought me to maybe full health. He was likely at full health and because he didn't lose any blood through his helmet, was easily able to fight to consciousness. Idk, alpha and shit
Bororm 1156 Posted June 24, 2015 Interesting. I also had a recent encounter where a friend of mine shot some one in the head. Their helmet was not ruined, but their face mask was, which is something that never used to happen. I also had a case of being shot to hell by an ak74 as well as a rak, until I got knocked out but I immediately got back up. I saw a video that I linked in another thread, about shots just not registering some times this patch.
Knight_Solaire 4 Posted June 24, 2015 Unless I've heard wrong, wasn't there some sort of changes to the damage system? The sporter has always taken 1-3 headshots. I wouldn't even expect a 22 round to go through a ballistic helmet, though I don't feel like searching for that information. I don't think its a case of shots not registering, but more of the new damage system taking place. Seems that vests and headgear are actually worth using now. I've taken shots to the chest with nothing but a flash of the screen, no bleeding. Pretty much what would happen in real life if you had a true ballistic rated vest. You'd have one hell of a bruise, maybe a cracked rib, but you'd be fine.

So 45 seconds is -1350 shock. If the old caps remain of 5000 shock/health... That'd mean that ballistic helmets and vests offer a substantial amount of shock resistance now. IF that hit really was for 11k shock damage.
