ZeSmaj 0 Posted June 18, 2015 So i have been trying to get dayz going for a few days now with no success. I have had every kind of error in the book, as soon as one gets solved a new one arises. So i figured i would do it the right way this time and completely uninstall steam, arma, and all its dlcs. My question to everyone is HOW THE HELL DO I GET THIS TO WORK. As far as Arma goes in my steam list i have: Arma II, Arma 2 British Armed Forces, Arma 2 Dayz Mod, Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead, Arma 2 operation arrowhead beta (obsolete) and finally arma 2 private military company (also under operation arrowhead i have the army of the czech republic. Do i have all the right addons? am i missing something? My computer runs arma 2 fine i have played the single player a little before trying to install dayz so i know my way around a little so my computer can handle it. What order should i install them, what launcher should i use to join games, i have tried gametrackers, commander, sixlauncher, EVERYTHING and nothing works. Please if someone could help it would be greatly appreciated. This is my exact post that i also put on the steam forum. As stated the game runs perfectly fine when trying to play single plyer, but when i tried to join any dayz servers i was given any kind of error anyone else has gotten so far, weather its to many addons enabled or not enough. Im going to simply start by installed Arma 2 and go from there but if someone could help with a step by step instuctions it would be greatly appreciated!!! kichilron 8550 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) This is the Standalone-Section, not Mod related Did you try Steam yet? If not, why not? That's the only supported way of acquiring the Mod and is literally a 1 click install What's the actual error you're getting? ZeSmaj 0 Posted June 18, 2015 also under my expansions tab in game there is a ".pack" and "bell 47 and h-13 variations" should these be enabled? all the other expansion are listed there as well except i didnt install them this time around. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

That happens when you don't have hte appropriate mod enabled. Easiest way to go about joining a server is to just launch "DayZ Mod" from Steam and search for servers ingame. ZeSmaj 0 Posted June 18, 2015 thats exactly how i launched it, it doesnt matter what kind of server i try and join weather it be a dayz server or just regular multiplayer for arma it will never let me join. it also says somehting about using modified data files?
