Inventory problems making game impossible to play

Hi All,

 

Since 0.57 my inventory has become impossible to use. 

 

• Frequently cannot pick up items (50% of the time). I try drag and drop/ look at and select take, and nothing goes into my inventory. I have tried leaving the area and coming back mostly to no avail.
• Game will not let me take melee weapons or guns into my hands. I try all of the above but just now could absolutely not get it to work. 
• Totally random stuff will happen like I have one weapon on my back and want to pick another up from the floor. I drag and drop to my inventory but nothing happens, and then like 5 minutes later the weapon appears in my hands the one on my back disappears. 

 

This has gotten me killed several times now and seems to strike suddenly after a short period of play (desperately trying to switch from a mosin to SMG and getting massacred - trying like hell to stick a few 9mm bullets into a magazine and getting shot while failing to do this) and mostly boils down to the drag and drop of the inventory just not working at all.  

 

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I am on a very fast internet connection joining servers public and private in my country...

and you are sure you have enough room in your inventory to hold those weapons?

 

if you pull out a gun from your bag and only have say 4 empty slots. and you pick something up and it goes in to one of those 4 slots, you no longer can put that gun back in to your bag because it no longer fits so you end up dropping it.

 

just wondering if that's maybe what keeps happening? it used to stay in your bag AND in your hands at the same time, so you never would "bump" the inventory slots with anything new because it knew you needed that room for whatever was currently in your hands that you pulled out of the bag.

You are correct. If you have it over your shoulder. Then put it in your hands, then put it down, you should be able to pick it up again. I was thinking maybe it was a small arms that was in the inventory (bag/pants/vest) and that was causing the problem since they changed how the weapon uses up an inventory slot while carrying it.

 

I know they are having trouble with jumping over things causing you to drop your weapon as well. That could be part of the same problem you are having.

yep.

 

an inventory system shouldn't be something you have to fight or babysit.  I dunno what they were thinking. 

 

combat glitches?  fine, you can avoid combat.  stairs randomly kill you?  well, you can avoid stairs too.  but a fucked up inventory system... well, I guess I can avoid having stuff...

(gee I hope collecting stuff isn't important in this game)

 

I have 1,447 hours in this game and I enjoyed the hell out of most of it.  but now I'm totally turned off.  I've uninstalled, waiting for word that it's fixed.
