SaveMeJebus 164 Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) Pretty much because amd chips have bad single core performance and DayZ has not yet been optimized for multicore. Overclocking would probably help you out the most just be careful you know what your doing. Don't worry about your gpu thought its plenty powerful, most everyones bottleneck with dayz is the cpu. ** And just to clarify I'm not saying that AMD chips are bad, just saying that single core performance isn't the best. There isn't much us AMD users can do for now, unless you want to replace your AMD. Which I really....really...really... highly doubt. But there are some config fixes that can help FPS it makes the game not as appealing but, id rather have 30 FPS in towns and it looks eh, then really good and 20 FPS. Just preference at this point for AMD. EDIT: If you want the config fixes just go and google DayZ Config FPS Fixes. I did that a while back and got a nice boost. SaveMeJebus 164 Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) BUT ..... don't freak out too badly, it will for sure get better performance wise as development continues and things are optimized further and the game will be so much better then content wise anyways I don't think your missing a ton by having to wait (although i do know it sux lol) Edited May 23, 2015 by SaveMeJebus
VahidkinG 192 Posted May 24, 2015 Do not worry about your specs, they are good. the problem with dayz right know (as far as FPS concerns) is engine side. everyone is getting bad FPS in towns and you are not the only one with this issue. also keep in mind that they are fixing this (most of it) by implementing renderer, tought there is no ETA atm but best card to play is 2-4 months from now maybe. that will help the games FPS to be stable at town and ofc higher than now but it wouldn't be what the game is going to be at 1.0 hope you get the point.
