DayZ Start-up Application Error

Hey guys,

 

Just purchased the DayZ standalone off of steam the other day, installed it and found that when I launched it I'm having an application error.

 

On launching it spends a few seconds loading and then comes up with "The instruction at 0xXXXXXXXX referenced memory at 0xXXXXXXXX. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program"

 

I am running Windows 8.1 64-bit with these specs:

 

Intel Core i7-4702MQ CPU @ 2.20GHz (8 CPUs)

Intel HD Graphics 4600

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M

DirectX 11

 

I've checked to make sure all my graphics drivers are up to date and also verified the integrity of the game cache (through steam).

 

Has anyone seen this problem before/can offer some help?
