Graphics

Recommended Posts

when i play Dayz most off the time the graphics are fine and my fps average is around 35 even in cities but every now and then i get random fps drop and the graphics go really pale and it goes slow and the only way i can sort it out is by restarting the game completely and then its fine but it will always do it again no matter how i change the in-game graphics. Is this my internet as it can be slow or is it a game issue?

any help would be much appreciated

1.: Definitely not your internet.

2.: Make sure you get a basic understanding of what you're doing - it'll be much easier dealing with these issues.

3.: The reason I'm saying 2.) is because your graphics are rendered by your machine and not connected to your internet-speed in any way, shape or form.

Get yourself some way to monitor your temperatures (MSIAfterburner comes to mind). Make sure your compenents don't overheat or that you have other problems connected to your hardware. There are tutorials out there that will help you set up an onscreen overlay to monitor your hardware even in fullscreen applications such as games.

This is highly recommended at any rate, even if or especially if you have high end hardware.

OK thanks for the reply. at least i know its not the internet and know its a hardware problem but i don't get it on any other games not even the mod just the standalone version but ill keep an eye on the temperatures and see whats happening :)

At least that solved it for me and various others..these kind of threads tend to occur once every month but there is no devside fix.. only solution is to upgrade to 64bit

Edit:

No clue can just vaguely guess it has something to do with the 32bit system receiving too much data/ or too long data therefore crashing/getting blocky
