Dayz experimental test zone

Recommended Posts

Hi guys and devs, I had a idea of a singel player mode for the game NOT FOR SUIVIVAL but to test the new things in every experimental.
I call it the experimental test zone. This is a place that you can spawn in the new items in the game. This will make it easyer for the experimental players to test the items and mecanics of the game.

Think about it.

Say, a new gun can only be found in a heli crash site. That will take a long time and the youtubers who are showcasing the guns and testing said that there searches took
5-10 houres to find the gun (kuch*RAK!!*kuch). If this mode wil come to the game would be a great chance to let people test the new items better for the first time. The players can give the devs better feedback of the items.

Guys pls comment and make a discussion about it.
Do you think that my idea is Dayz worth

Well, mate i do love your idea because it can be used for practicing guns but i really don't think that they will add such a thing at-least for now because below reasons:

1. first of all it's not a priority.

2. second, it might be a bad think for security (i'm not a programmer but in my logic it can give away items ID and that is bad for security)(i might be wrong)

3. third, it's better to test all mechanics rather than just new items, because every patch has a chance to destroy old mechanics that are already in the game (like loot system etc.) also we need to test if all the mechanics are working well together or not.

i think it will be a good idea but just not for now + once the game goes to modding level there will be such mods for sure.

hopefully made my point because of my english :D

Yeah, I think the third one is certainly more important. Weapons testing is probably one of the easiest things to do in-house. I can't think of very many gun-related bugs that are specific to one weapon, so being able to test if guns work isn't really important. What's important is the game mechanics. One change might bugger up, say, your ability to drink from a well, or it might mean that walking on a certain surface breaks your legs. That's the sort of thing that needs to be tested - not solely the efficacy of weapons or other items.

Your English is fine, bud. I suppose you mean "I think it IS a good idea, but..." rather than "I think it WILL BE a good idea, but..." but frankly both make perfect sense. Most people, however, would be inclined to say "I think it's a good idea" rather than "will be" however.

Also in your signature it says 'I still learning English'. Should be 'I'm' or 'I am still learning English' - 'I'm' being a contraction of 'I' and 'am'. Also worth mentioning that the correct form of the little quote you have would be "When life shows you a hundred (or one hundred) reasons to cry, show it a thousand (or one thousand) reasons to smile." Remember that plurals (more than one) usually have the letter 's' at the end to signify it. I suppose 'shows' isn't really a plural but I guess that's just a quirk of the language.

Hope that helps!

That's true but i still think this will make sence.

People are not going to be 24/7 in that mode. They will get bored and will play on the exp servers.

I think that is will work because the mode is a place that you can do whatever you want in it. Lets say o let me check if cooking still works. You just spawn in the parts of it to make a fire place and you'll if cooking is working on this patch. You get the hole map and sort of cheats to look if there arn't any miss placed objects.

My point is that you will have command's and shit to change the weather, fast forward time. teleport ect.

I don't think people will stikck around the hole day on that mode because it is single player.

Maby 3/4 of the dayz players are  fucking around and KOS other players and not actually trying to find bugs. Because that was the purpose of early acces, right?.
