SammyTheGamer 25 Posted April 16, 2015 I've been playing DayZ since the beginning. But I've always wondered, why does military loot spawn in fire stations? I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but whats the story behind it?
creature 1189 Posted April 16, 2015 Closest thing to a police station in game? Dean thought it would be funny? Limited open buildings to spawn loot in? I don't think there's a definitive reason other than that's the way Dean made it.
Aidsplosion 36 Posted April 16, 2015 Another case of sacrificed realism in favor of gameplay, I guess.
automatic9 22 Posted April 16, 2015 There wasn't police stations in the mod, so these served as those. Now we have police stations, but these still serve their old purpose from the mod. My backstory for this is that firefighters served as a sort of auxiliary police/defense force against zeds before everything went completely to hell
Aidsplosion 36 Posted April 17, 2015 I don,t think Dean's story went any further than: O NOES, ZOMBIES. Then everyone's dead. The End.
Sula 1205 Posted April 19, 2015 Well fire stations might well be run by the military in a time of national emergency. It isn't really much of a stretch of the imagination. :)
