bonesnap 75 Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) There needs to be a balance, without a reason to risk visiting large towns or high value locations DayZ becomes a jogging and farming simulator.Pretty much this. Jogging and farming gets old, even having a moderate supply of pea-shooters such as pistols (makarov) and sporters would help keep the game being ..enjoyable. Running around looting for 2 hours and not getting a ranged weapon with ammo of any sort would cause a large, if not majority of the population to log off. This includes myself. There has to be a balance. Not everyone wants a complete wasteland simulator where the only weapons outside of airfields are glass bottles to throw at eachother. This is basically the main reason I enjoyed Lingor Island so much. More weapons, smaller map, more interactions. It's still balanced to have a lot of military loot if everyone has access to it. Some people fail to realize this and would rather run around for hours and knucklefight eachother. So. Freaking. Boring!
