henamshox 21 Posted April 12, 2015 Hey, so I load up with DayZ Commander and try to join just a regular, vanilla server. I join and it loads normally, shows me all the players on, and then shortly after it reverts me back to the main menu? I've tried several servers all the same thing. It's saying I'm missing something that's dependant. Something like "map_eu"? Things I've tried:Opened up ARMA 2/OA manually Tried other servers, same problem persists. Updated DayZ mod/ARMA 2 in DayZ Commander I'm currently trying to reinstall DayZ Mod through DayZ Commander and will update the post with other solutions I try. kichilron 8550 Posted April 12, 2015 Simple fix: Don't use DayZCommander. At this point it's not been updated for about 1 year now.

Plus I've used DayZCommander in the past. About a month ago it was working? Edited April 13, 2015 by Drekkz
vinyljunkie 165 Posted April 13, 2015 (edited) Hey Drekkz, since DayZ Commander haven't been updated in a very long time it still suggests a old version of DayZ (1.8.3). Today the mod is on version 1.8.4.1Anyways, get the mod from Steam. Go to Steam Store and download Arma2:DayZ mod there. That will give you the latest version and it will be easy to keep it updated that way.A new launcher is out and it is called DayZ Launcher, there is also one called Survival Launcher but the first one seems to be the most popular, but I would use them only for finding servers and downloading deriative mods. Always get the mod from Steam and make sure it works there first by joining some vanilla servers via the Arma Multiplayer menu.Welcome back to vanilla and let me know how it goes!
