my running speed in-game is too slow. Ideas?

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I just wanted to post a shout-out to the players who experience this or have friends that are affected.

My avatar jogs and sprints significantly slower than others, and I have no idea why. There are several theories about what factors can influence the running speed, but all are controversial and none are official.

Wobo/Aggathor tested this in 2014, and came to the conclusion, that (in the version then) gear has no influence (shoes/backpack etc and their condition), the energy/hydrated thing has no influence. Only thing he came up were being out of breath and having a weapon in hand. Sigh.

Well those two are quickly eliminated in a group of friends, and I can say that even with the same breath and having identical weapon stances etc I run slower. Like I loose 40 meters or so in one minute. People have to wait up on me regularly. That blows.

Please be advised, that I have tried different graphic settings and that I do not have problems FPS wise. I tend to play in the north-west, and I am in 50-70 fps there (running a 3570k @4.4 GHz and a gtx 660). Plus I see no difference when I look to the ground and run/jog, and I get over 140 fps while doing so.

There are different statements regarding the fast-forward binding and the turbo, but I kind of excluded that. There are many players in my group that have the old default 2xW = fast forward binding (which I use myself). And I don't really know how turbo is used. If I bind turbo to 2xW, and double tap it, it does nothing. Does turbo has to be combined with other buttons?

Any ideas or help would be much appreciated!
