Funkmaster Rick 373 Posted April 6, 2015 Is it still necessary to adjust the dayz.cfg file in your documents/dayz folder in order to get anything like decent response/framerate from the game? Did the new renderer fix anything?
Wookieenoob 191 Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) Is it still necessary to adjust the dayz.cfg file in your documents/dayz folder in order to get anything like decent response/framerate from the game? Did the new renderer fix anything? try it without then try it with, if it works it works. you can reduce the distance at which trees/loot/players/zombies spawn or increase it as you like. Thank you for your response! Unfortunately, it was not a terribly useful one as it neither answers a question nor provides new information.

HarryPotter (DayZ) 172 Posted April 6, 2015 You might need to. I did. Not sure how much difference it really makes. As far as I know new render is months away still.I get 60fps wilderness and 20-30fps in town. Server desync and lag are more of an issue than fps for me.. Funkmaster Rick 373 Posted April 6, 2015 Thank you sir! Exactly what I needed to hear. Will re-implement my old settings, and will hopefully get as high as 40 FPS in towns.
