Lock yourself in a house. You can punch through windows to kill the infected. It takes some doing but it can be done.

Or, shut the said infected in a room/house and leave it for an unsuspecting victim.

Yes. I thought that was the common tactic and that locking yourself in would be "another" tactic. Locking yourself in may be easier to accomplish and you may be less likely to be hit.  :)

 

It does feel a little cheesed to hit the infected through the window with punches but shooting will work too, it just depends more on the window for shooting.
