since 0.55 the outhouses spawn a lot of loot..

so NO. i check every.. single.. toilet i come across.. :D

What if it's occupied? lol you have to wait until they are done at least, right? Or they might ambush you!

yeah, you always have to knock first.
and by "knock" i mean scream "sherrifs department!" through voice and start hitting the door with my axe.

i go through a lot of axes ._.

i came across this as well. a stack of stuff in the one i found. books/jackets/boots/charcoal tabs, all stacked on each other on the seat.
