PlasticAssasin8 (DayZ) 78 Posted April 2, 2015 In reality there is no reference in making them other than movies, that's it, so you can go from total all out craziness with WWZ or in the total other direction and go with the Death Valley zombie. :rolleyes: Personally somewhere between the Omega Man ( classic) 28 days later and the will smith "remake" of Omega man " I Am legend". All Movies had military type weapons in them and where all available for use. Omega man was very much like what the last version of dayz was apart from the zombies, in omega they were more mutant people with decent intelligence, pasty faced though.In that movie he looted and got what he needed when he needed it to protect himself until they finally over ran him, they only came out at night there. I Am legend.Whilst a poor choice of lead actor the movie was a good redo of the Omega man movie. This movie was more like what Dayz is , over grown cities wild animals and zombies that had a collective intelligence , or what seemed to be until a leader emerged.Again Military weapons and looting and fortress making to protect himself. Zombie hives, super abilities and harder to kill within reason. Then 28 day later, was super intense at times but they were infected people not zombies.DAYZ has gone down the route of the 28 day infected person zombie. They are fast strong and can open and close doors climb laters etc, "They are Not zombies" The standard cinematic zombie is depicted as a slow and clumsy creature, the Infected are very strong and fast-moving. There are normal zombies and runners, and that makes sense , but zombies that are more like an infected human dont make sense in a zombie survival game. Oh zombies in I Am Lagend can scale walls , dont need a ladder but they can be killed in one shot.The recipe is already out there especially in Omega man and i am legend in the looting survival area. as well as some zombie actions. Sometimes i wonder if Devs are in a cocoon and dont realise they dont need to re invent the wheel, around and around, just tweak it a bit :D Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
