Swan1360 0 Posted March 26, 2015 so i was wondering why my pc isnt running dayz that good could it be my hardware or is the game just not optimal for newer stuff i get like 23 fps in towns Specs : gpu: gtx 970cpu : amd fx 8350ram : 8gb
Jfiles 439 Posted March 26, 2015 It is more than enough to run. But I can give you some Config tips to help you. But the game wont look as good. If that is what you want. But the game isn't optimized.
Swan1360 0 Posted March 26, 2015 that would be a huge help thanks
SaveMeJebus 164 Posted March 26, 2015 Mid 20s framerate in the larger towns is pretty typical imo ... maybe I'm wrong, but fighting for frames at this point in development can be a frustrating and fruitless task. I know 25-28 in the larger towns for me is typical with an i5-3570k (oc'd 4.6), 8 gig ram, 2x gtx 760s and no amount of anyones parameter voodoo magic ever made it any better for me. Swan1360 0 Posted March 26, 2015 yea i really just wanted to know if it was just my pc or the game , but i do think ill have to wait for the game to be more optimal before i start playing it seriously
Jfiles 439 Posted March 27, 2015 ummmm help !!???sorry, was away. Go to your DayZ config files, find GPU max detected frames ahead change 1,000 to 1 and the one below it should be like 3? change it to 1.

Look on youtube how to force DayZ to crossfire/SLI

Look on youtube how to force DayZ to crossfire/SLIThe game IS indeed using my 2nd gpu I forced it a long while ago. The gpu is not my problem, cpu bottleneck is evident as it is with nearly anyone elses machine.

All I can really advise is endure? EDIT: I have the same CPU I run the same frames. The game just really is so badly optimized. Try Arma 3 DayZ for sometime. Overpoch brought me some fun. Much better FPS. But your choice. until you figure something out. cause that processor should run that like a dream. Edited March 28, 2015 by Jfiles
