The 101 has been better than the mosin for a long time if u kit it out properly.

An ak 101 with a pso and the right attatchments can snipe up to 1000 meters and can be silenced.

The pso also has a built in range finder in the scope.

Combine that with the gun doing well in close quarters and you have more space and usability than the mosin combined with an smg.

 

i don't know how far the bullet simulation goes in DayZ, but doesnt the 5.56 rounds the AK101 uses also have higher velocity than the 7.62 rounds for the mosin?
