What's this eternal "Please wait..." screen after the countdown?

 

Exp or Stable?  There used to be a fix back in 2014, where one opt'd into exp via steam updated then opt'd back into stable updated and were able to play just fine.  Not sure its the same issue?

Stable. Sometimes it lasts for 2+ minutes.

 

Further I think, DayZ still suffers the old Arma 2 "feature", where the character is already in the world, but the player is not yet in control of it (despite of fast internet connection and fast PC),
