you only died because your teammate wasn't calling out his position properly

 

pro-tip: your entire group of players should call out where they are and where they are going at all times so you don't hesitate to shoot enemies thinking you might be seeing your friend

It sounds like that, but he was actually nowhere near me.  He was referring to a separate guy heading towards me.  That is why I thought it was him at first because it was an unarmed character.  But he was something like 300 meters away.  I just wanted to make sure it wasn't him :P
