Can't skin animals?

Hi, as per title. I get the animation but no end product? Am I missing something?

i think it has something to do with the server/latency/desync. a while ago i had the same situation when crafting a stone knife, it took maybe 10 attempts before it worked. a little while later it happened again when i was trying to skin a cow and eventually gave up on it.. i changed servers, found a new animal to kill and it worked without problems.

 

may i ask how you managed to kill an animal? their AI seems a bit sensitive in 0.54.. i want one of those leather jackets :)

No.. Some guy tried to jump me with a big hammer and I killed him with my baseball bat... I was so angry I wanted to cut him up and leave his bits on the road.

Start the animation and open your inventory at the same time.

 

ex: My use key is F. So when I skin, I hit F and Tab at the same time.
