In your opinion; what makes a good RP community/server?

Personally I enjoy roleplaying in DayZ, it gives the game a breath of fresh air after a while and the community interactions have always drawn me towards the various RP servers since RP on public servers is generally far and few in-between.

 

I'm not looking for direction or posting about specific servers but I'd like to know what others think are the makings of a well rounded RP community.

i just started playing on a RP server called new dawn its awesome i've been waitng to RP since the game came out. so tired of the spawn loot kill repeat bullshit. now i can get immersed in stories that players create and have crazy player interactions. i play a bandit a role i usually don't play  usually. i used my brains and did some old school holdups or we would snatch them up and try and get them to join us lol. the server i play on has factions that players can form as well as a character database on the website where you can look up different characters. theres no age limit that i know of theres a few child soldiers as i call them but they are cool they don't rage or get mad when you get the best of them. i honestly havn't heard of anyone KOS'n either folks die and you still gotta becareful but now its more of i don't want to get captured and interrogated or tortured. first time i've seen folks give a shit about there character more than gear. so RP yeah i love it yet i can't get into the super hardcore style where you can't OOC ever and pointless rules of engagement to stop KOS. we have nothing like that on the one i play on KOS is frowned upon but oh well get good people on a server and you don't need stupid convoluted rules. quality over quantity i always say. rant end
