Can Someone Teach/Lead Me On This?

So, DayZ is looking to be a great game, and it's vanilla will be awesome, but modding will allow free will to make the game pretty much anything you want it to be. I want to learn to mod DayZ, I don't know where to start because I don't know anything about the engine since I never practiced editing at all with ArmA 2 and since they're adding on. Will it be similar to ArmA 3 and if so can I get help and that, I would really like to learn to do some simple scripts and stuff and learn to model on my own, with implementing it to be taught to me, if anybody can help, please do. I believe modding for DayZ SA is a looong way off, like, years from now. It's not even out of alpha yet.

I was trying to get ready so that when the game allows modding I can start off easier. Some people have started making assets and models already as well since the engine is similar to before. But can we keep the thread as on point as my squad?

I don't know where you saw that modding would be available at years end.

I know they hope to enter beta at the end of the year.

I must've read it wrong... it says steam community integration on the roadmap no steam workshop integration (which implies some type of modding)... still I would like to learn modding for ArmA 3 at least.. it will be related to it I believe

Arma 3 and DayZ have no similarities when it comes to modding. If you want to learn modding for Arma 3 start a new thread, i have a feeling this will be locked soon.
