Wookieenoob 191 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) would be cool to see a camelback added to the game. an option that sacrifices backpack for a large hydration system you don't need to stop to drink from, and can sip small amounts regularly. spawns: the same buildings as the long ranged scope in civilian, IE the corner yellow house; as well as more commonly at military spawns. _____________________ variation; tactical camelbackpack kudu, a backpack with 15 spaces and 12 liters of water, just with the same hydration system as the other camelbak. spawns only at military locations with the same rating as pso-1 for rarity, or chopper crashes. stielhandgranate 480 Posted March 1, 2015 You can wear those things with a backpack. Especially the the hydration pack that molle loops on the back of a plate carrier or vest.
Mullraugh 1151 Posted March 1, 2015 Some you can even just put IN your backpack and have all the tubes and shit coming out the top
Whyherro123 2283 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) Meh. As someone trained in Wilderness Survival, I MUCH prefer regular water bottles over a Camelbak. Sure, you can slip it inside a backpack, and drink from it without using your hands, but if it breaks (any of the O-rings, the tube itself, or if the bag springs a leak), you are fucked. Not including that you can't boil water in it. Used one, didn't like it. I carry about 4 aluminum 1L water bottles carabiener'd to my pack. I can carry at least the same amount of water you can, with much more functionality. Edited March 1, 2015 by Whyherro123
stielhandgranate 480 Posted March 1, 2015 Nah I fucking hated canteens in basic and AIT. Camelbaks distribute weight better and take less space on your gear. You also don't need to take it out to drink.
