Black screen when loading day z

Hey. So today I bought day z and in playing on a flat screen tv. I opened day z and it worked fine but I noticed the resolution was weird but it was palpable. I tried to change the resolution in user interface and that made the resolution worse and some of the game was of the screen. I tried changing it back on the cfg file but now all I get when loading up day z is a black screen and my tv saying "no video available" please help!!
