Hello everyone, i am an old dayz player and i want to suggest my idea of global channel for walkie talkies. Actually i miss global chat from the mod, i think it could make this game more interactive and maybe less KOS. Lets say that Green Mountain Tower is transmitting a signal and it works in all map, or maybe you need to climb on building roofs on the east side of the map in order to catch a signal. I think this idea would be more relevent for lone survivors cause others who play in groups already use Teamspeak.

 

Advantages:

1. More people will use walkie talkies and search for batteries

2. More interactions (find friends or bandits in game) and maybe less KOS

3. New way to call for help, make ambush, track people :D

 

Disadvantages:

1. Everyone can hear you talk and see your messages(but only if they have a working walkie-talkie and if they understand your language)

yes we have and nobody uses them, because they work only in 800m radius and they dont support global chat

I suspect that they will be fixed eventually. At the latest when we're getting to Beta (as that's when bugfixing takes place).
