Wood piles

I can't find any, and when I chop down a tree I get wooden logs which can't be used in crafting. Is it intentional that I can only find piles in farm/residential loot?

Have you tried rightclicking the logs in your inventory at all?

 

 

Rightclick Logs -> Planks

Rightclick Planks -> Wood Piles

I haven't, because the idea that you could craft planks back into well, smaller logs seemed pretty silly to me. Anyway thanks for the help!

It's not really silly - the only thing that may be off is the model itself.

 

What exactly defines a "Wood Pile"? Could it not just be a pile of wood planks? It most certainly could be. Thus, it doesn't "seem silly", does it now?

 

And sawing logs into planks and then sawing planks into even smaller piles of wood is exactly what it's supposed to be. You wouldn't be able to glue them together to planks from piles with a Hatchet, would you?

When i try to convert wood planks to wood piles the planks disappear and i get no wood piles, anyone else having this or is it just me? 

I'm really starting to think my computers got brain cancer!
