Hi, I just logged onto the server DayZ - US 32 Colorado 3 (switching from server a which was night to go to one in daylight) I went outside the fire station and found a AH-64D Apache. I know the only helicopter in dayz is the UH-1H (well legit anyway) now of course i had to get in and take a flight in it and so i flew around a bit in it. I thought that the scripts had been detected/stopped from being used on servers so how did someone get get an apache. :o

ps checked the map when flying the heli and found a cock drawn using the notes thing which i found quite funny.

Hackers are alive and well, unfortunately script injection is a major weakness and limitation of the ArmA engine.

From what I've heard there is another BE purge on the horizon.

Ehm, as far as i understand you should have been blow to bits when you entered that chopper.

Maybe the server disabled BE and scripts.txt allowing them to do this but i thought it was in the mission file that if you enter a illegal veh you would get screwed one way or another.

Well i didn't notice any body parts flying off :P but I'm pretty sure that it was cheat protected as i had my items from the server i was on before. Almost all of the BE disabled servers are black listed and not connected to the hive database at least from what i read.

It depends on how the vehicle is spawned. The hackers/script kiddie could have used the BE bypass (which is detected) and he would not have gotten kicked. His CD key will be banned in the next 48 hours.
