M249 ammunition does not work on M249

Date/Time: 22.04.2012

What happened: Checked the gear of an enterable "Offroader" vehicle. Found the M249 LMG with M249 200rnd belts inside. I looted both LMG and ammunition.

With both M249 LMG and M249 200rnd belt equipped in the main inventory, the ammo status of the M249 LMG was still at "0" on the user interface.

However, 30rnd STANAG magazines do work with the M249 LMG.

I'm receiving the same problem with a M1014 shotgun and 12 gauge ammunition. I have 6 slots on my person being occupied by the slugs and yet my weapon reads 0 ammunition available. So reloading with the new ammunition is not an option to me, the menu to switch ammunition types isn't even popping up (suggested that it should once I ran out of 12 gauge pellet ammunition that I was previously using with the weapon when I fist retrieved it).
