Help, i just started playing, love the hole atmosphere of the game, but whenever i try and communicate to other people in the server no one ever says anything back, i use direct communication? is this right?

The players have to be within a certain distance. I think it kicks in at 80m but is very hard to hear. The closer you get to people the better you hear them. But clearly they need to reply by MSG or chat.

NOTE: A lot of people don't like to comm as it tells people you are within distance to be hunted and killed.

so what about teamwork then?, i was just wondering if it doesnt work as surely a global chat means you can talk to everyone in the game via text right?

For team work use direct communication when your next to your friend if your both seperate try using skype, ts or vent

so i basicaly need to lone ranger it up until i find someone to team up with in the game ? :D

got any tips for a new person starting out, or a pointer to a place with tips :D

There is an option to talk to everyone in the game. I believe it is the blue option (forget what its called)

Though when i used it a lot of people got pissed off from hearing me. I now think a lot of servers must have it turned off.

The only way i know to comm in through Direct comm Msg or Chat within a given distance. If you are playing as a group i assume most people use SKYPE (i might be wrong about this though)

I believe the group chat option is for when you are in the lobby.

Direct Communications (White) is the way to talk to people within your vicinity. Typing I believe you need to be within 20m of the person. It's longer if using voice though.
