Would it be possible to prioritize Modding?

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody,

When reading the Roadmap for 2015 I can see that Workshop Integration is coming in late 2015 (maybe ;) ).

Q4 2015

BETA version
Animal companions (dog, horse)
Steam community integration (Achievements, Steamworks modding, etc)
Construction (building shelters / walls / …)

Would it be possible to bring the modding tools earlier? In Arma3 it was possible to start modding in the Alpha version already and it was amazing to see that a lot of mods were finished right when the game launched in the end.

It would be amazing for Modders to dig into the game early on and create some nice missions and so on and help to develop the API with the Devs.

Greetings

Not really as such large changes are still being made to the core engine mods would be utterly broken. Do you recall how bad it was for modders for arma 3 with modding in the alpha of arma 3 ( which was really a beta) they broke mods every other week and no one wanted to touch making them as it was so frustrating ( i know i stopped trying to mod arma 3 during this stage till it version 1.0

Nice missions? This isn't some Steal the Car from Cold War Crisis...also it would be pointless because the mods would break every patch.
