Killing Myself

So a while back I lost connection the the server I was on. I quickly rejoined to discover my character as he was before I logged out just standing there. I shot him in the face and took some of my stuff. My question is if I try to log out and join back will I lose my stuff and spawn in as dead because I technically killed myself?

 

Edit: I guess the answer is yeas as I just discovered as the server just restarted.

I remember in my first days in the SA, finding these bleeding randoms along the southern coast was all the rage. They'd just stand there spouting fountains of blood everywhere.
