What do you guys think of Vanilla Dayz?

which happened after 1.7.7 too fast. but it was a hell of a week : )

I look back on 1.7.7 with great fondness.  People were constantly low on ammo because everyone was actually shooting zombies for fear of getting infected.  THIS IS HOW A ZOMBIE GAME SHOULD BE!  My squad got in a big fight over a Huey at Skalisty, and in the end, after several people had died, it came down to one guy on the other team with an enfield and myself with a Makarov.  I was able to take him out because he was too busy shooting aggroing zombies.  It was one of the most intense fights I ever experienced in DayZ.  On top of that, people were banding together like crazy just to stay alive.  It was great!

DayZmod is undead. Epoch traders, map markers, lockable vehicles, indestructible builds etc, ruined the survival game by making it soft, now everyones bored. DayZmod survives on the FINALdayZ server...where survival, not shopping is king.

Yeah, that would be grand. Erm...not dying, I mean giving us a go. The FINALdayZ community is truly hardcore. The server has been populated day and night constantly for the last 2 weeks! That's how committed the players are here. If you like survival, and you believe DayZ should be difficult then I'm sure you'll find a lot to like. I'd recommend joining the forum. There is a change of host about to go through. Check the FINALdayZsurvivor forum for new connection details.
