john5220 15 Posted December 25, 2014 (edited) I have both Arma 2 collection and DayZ SA but never got around to trying out DayZ MOD because Arma 2 is so big 16GB or more so never bothered to waste the SSD space. But from viewing videos, Dayz Mod seems 100 times more finished and polished than the SA question how many people still play the Mod? And any particular differences between the mod and SA right now? MadWookie 573 Posted December 25, 2014 Mod = Lots of fun. Lots of stuff to do. Every server is different. Still buggy, but just like in stand alone you find a way to work around the bugs or live with them. SA = Rinse & Repeat. What I mean by that is, you get geared, go kill people, maybe fish or hunt. Then get killed. Then do it all again. At least in the mod there are other things you can do. If you have not already tried the mod, I would really suggest doing it. If you want someone to show you the ropes or help you install it just PM me or quote this post. :P I have over 1500 hours (about 300 hours weren't logged on steam though sadly so it only says 1200) played in DayZ Mod alone. Welch (DayZ) 756 Posted December 25, 2014 The mod definitely was not as serious as the SA. You could find ammo and guns lickety-split and go on to kill people in Elektro. The Standalone definitely takes longer to progress. While I did enjoy the mod very much, I can see myself liking the standalone much more when it develops further and gets into the later stages.

Ow and I am tired of waiting soooo long for guns and scopes etc in SA its getting annoying to take so long then get killed by someone so quick I need a DayZ with easy to find guns so I can storm in Elektro and start killing bandits and when i die I can come back again get my SKS and scope ASAP and try killing bandits once more. is DayZ MOD for me then?
