therandomredstone 432 Posted December 23, 2014 When you cut someone or an animal up, the corpse shouldn't just disappear, you should see a body with a huge hole in the middle of their stomach with the guts partially strewn out, and maybe a leg cut off. Players could track others more easily, Cannibal hunter groups could be formed, Signs of life (a dead boar) if you were running through the trees. THOUGHTS?
a_ruttle 199 Posted December 23, 2014 I'd say it's certainly a planned feature already, probably to come around the same time as improved animal AI/when they finish hunting off, maybe even as late as Beta.
degude 133 Posted December 23, 2014 chill, why wanting such endgame features, when the basics are not even in the game yet??? Or do you like to see this feature before base building????

But they would be like clues for hunting others down, were as putting boards and fences over a house, doesn't lead players toward you, but just effects PvP (mostly)

I want basebuilding :lol:In my opinion, most of the time this "information" won't give you any useful information anyways, if it's even ever found since the map is so huge. Nice feature but not important imo.

Nice feature but not important imo.Its not necessarily 'having it in the game will make it super interesting', but it will make the game more realistic, which is one of the lager goals for DayZ. You cant call a game a realistic simulator if dead animals disappear after you gut them, that's why I'm extremely confident that this will be added into the game before its official 'release'. Base building most likely will come first, or they will come at the same time. And by base building I hope you mean the ability to make ladders, fences, board up windows, because they already stated that you wont be able to build entire buildings. Karmaterror 982 Posted December 23, 2014 I like the idea, there would have to be a decay time on the corpse with stages or something. Then you could tell how long it was since someone ate him/shot him. Seeing if the body is warm could indicate less than 5 mins, then a cold body 5-10mins, then with flies >10mins :)
