Dayz lags on my system?

Recommended Posts

I recently got the Dayz mod cause I have seen many people play it and thought why not try it out. Anyway, Dayz seems to be very laggy and I cant really play it.

This is my rig:

Athlon II x2 240 Regor overclocked to 3.1ghz

4GB of Ram

Radeon 5670 512mb GDDR5

and thats really it. I took a look at the specs on game debate , and it looks like I should be able to run it.

Is there a reason it is lagging?

Thanks

I don't know what GameDebate is, but I have a Regor 250 (@stock) and a HD5770 and I turn the settings down a good bit, especially AA.

It's still a bit choppy for me sometimes, but better than SA. It also depends a lot on the server you are playing on.

Simply because AMD chips don't do single-core rendering that well.
