Dead body states

if you aproach a dead body on the ground , there should be an option to check if the body is warm or cold, so you know if they were freshly killed like 5 mins ago or been dead for say 45 mins, then you know someone is in the area killing people..

Try eating them. If the flesh is still warm, there might be a deranged killer on the loose.

no you can only check if there alive with there pulse, and not actually checking if they were a fresh kill or an old one...

No... you can check whether they are warm to the touch, or cold to the touch.

how long do they have to be dead for before they switch to cold?

It would be cooler if the body began to decompose before despawn, so that the items and the body would degrade over time. The lack of corpses in the streets hurts the realism a little. Bodies should stick around for at least 20 mins, preferably longer if not a major memory issue.

I've never seen a cold body, just Warm and Lukewarm, bodies despawn after 10 minutes so it really isn't long enough for them to get cold.
