Why if I join a dodgy server by accident, that has not got a connection to the main DayZ server thing (creating a newspawn character), is that server allowed to totally overwrite my character if it regains connection? I absolutely love this game but this is complete bullshit that's been in since day one. I don't know much about game development but this seems like a simple fix- just don't allow a server that has recently lost connection to the central servers to overwrite an existing character. PLEASE FIX THIS.Not to sound like Captain Obvious, but: if you join one of those servers, quit. No one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to stay there and get your character overwritten. When the server is loading and gives that message, it specifically says that you need to disconnect immediately or your character may be overwritten. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Dawgstyl 51 Posted December 19, 2014 To the OP If you are joining private shard servers you will get that in every one you join, because they don't share loot.. Plus I made a post about how to fix this if it happens to you I'm not going to look it up for you because you need to learn to search not just have everything handed to you.
