Where do most people congregate?

I'm bored of looting and I'm looking forward to some player interaction! Not strictly pvp, but talking to players and experiencing that side of the game. I'm currenty at Novod and I haven't found a soul! Even on full servers, where is everyone???

That is odd... Usually there's at least some activity around Novo especially on full servers. Try sitting on the big tower for a while, you're bound to see someone before too long.

Go to NWA and 100% you will meet someone even if you only are 2-3 players on the server. That is my experience anyway and that makes it one of the most dangerous hotspots in Chernarus.

I've found most interactions down south toward Elektro. The northern towns and even Berezino seem more sparse these days.

In my experience if a server has 40 people on it

10-15 are fresh spawns on the coast

10-15 are bandits or hero's on the coast

2-5 are snipers in the woods around cherno and Electra

8-20 are running down the roads away from the coast or in the towns inland

5 are server hoppers at the airfield or bases

4 are at various military bases

1 is a hacker in cherno or Electra

Highest concentration if people is in

Electra cherno solinchiny, ballota and its airfield, the northwest airfield, the southern military base, the road between Electra and cherno three suburbs and countryside around cherno

I would say more so than the NWAF that Veresnik is a hot spot, at least in my experience. Seems I can't go there without running into someone.

What this dude said, its very correct, except that I don't think people server jump to a full server just to gear up they probably geared up on low pop and jump on full pop to get the action at the military base/airfield. :)

Also veresnik is the hill next to the military base south of the north west airfield.

I have experienced not seeing a soul for something like 30 minutes in a

high populated server and in a major city on the coast. But, as long as you

don't stay to stationary, the chances should be very slim.
