Where to find civilian tents?

Hello fellow survivors. I have but a small question to ask. It's about civilian tents, not the military ones. Where can you find those? I've heard that the spawn locations have changed, is it true you can find it at Devils castle?

You can find them in the Tall apartment buildings in Novoselky and Chapaevsk. You can find like 2 - 4 an hour or two if you just Grind it out seaching each room of each building, Then server hopping, REPEAT :)  It's a pain but if ya get a nice flow going  how to hit each room on each floor real quick. It's actually really easy. It just takes the patience to do it.

What about the apartment buildings in the North East in Novodmitrovsk? And Devils Castle?

I never found anything in Devils Castle and i looked there alot , because in the MOD tents would Rezz there. But i never seen any there after weeks of checking. As for the North East in Novodmitrovsk. I have never checked those buildings. But i would bet you could find them up there, If there are the Tall apartment buildings. Im pretty sure tents rez in all of those Tall Apartment buildings. I'll check for you because im up there now collecting netting. I'll let you know if i find one in them.

Don't look for specific items, if you're committed to the game then you'll just wander about for days on end and stumble across them. That's if your an elite player of course. If you want a puppy you've got to feed and train it so quit your job and dump your girlfriend. Dayz needs your attention!

In principle, I agree.  But with no other real point in going into the apartment buildings (apart from sniping), unless you actively search for them you will never just stumble across one.

I have stumbled across two tents so far. I looted one and the other was empty so I just took it. They were not in obvious spots and it was a very random place in the woods that they were both left in. Since .51 though I have not really cared for looking for the tents since persistence still really isn't persistent. Spending the time searching for tents and keeping a bunch of stuff for a few days just to have to pack the tent up every Tuesday night and basically lose whatever I can't carry on my person gets old after the first few weeks.

I meant unless your searching for them in the apartments you wont find a tent spawn.  You can find any item if you kill someone with it or find it where someone hid it

For a quicker method of finding tents, a guy on youtube was showing another player how to do it. You go to the roof of one apartment and you look down into the windows of the block across from you. This way, you should be able to check a lot of rooms quickly by using this method which he said was very successful.

 

As for which ones they spawn in, I would think the spawn locations are tied to the buildings themselves so they should spawn in all of them?

You mean the experimental patch where spawning is not working correctly and tents are spawning where they should not be spawning, and the bug will be fixed before stable release?
