What's up with the loot in Third person?

I play mostly first person and have since Alpha first started. Today I decided to give Third person a go since that's basically what you have to do to go pvp since all the first person only servers are less than 10 people.... Since I've switched over I can't find a fucking thing! No food, No drink, No supplies. I went through and looted every building in Cherno and found ONE piece of fruit. Found plenty of pens though... Wtf is with the loot in third person servers? I'm not in a persistent server and I join servers that are close to restart..

Join persistent servers. I seriously don't have any problems finding any kind of loot on either, persistence on/off servers, 3PP, 1PP or private hives. It was probably just that server. Persistence disabled servers are a bit better imo, as sometimes the loot respawn just don't work at all on persistent servers.

As you said all the PvP'ers are going to the those towns and eating up all the loot. Try going to the inland locations to gear up, you might find a truck to get back in.

I have never been to a server where all cities had bad loot. Some (especially those on the coast) may have next to no loot, but other towns may have buttloads. Keep on searching - the same thing happens on full/near full 1PP servers too.

Coastal towns get raped for supplies since 99% of people Spawn on the coast.

They will loot it to death.

Has a litte to do with KOSers who shoot you for your makeshift pack full of food and your garden hoe forcing you to return to the Beach in another spawn and making people Loot the locations even more.

Its a viscious circle.

 

I agree tho. Try heading inland some of the towns further in have enough to help you survive.

Third person servers have much more players than first person ones: look at the simple amount of avalible servers, for example. This mean that many 3rd person servers may have been heavily plundered before you log in...as many others have said: avoid spawning towns/areas and, generally speaking, every other town or city on the coast. Head inland towards towns distant from point of interests or quick/note routes between towns and points of interests.

For example: you spawn in Kamyshovo or Three Valley, head directly to Tulga or Msta. You spawn in Svetlojarsk? Avoid the city, head towards Turovo and then Karmanovka. Scouting spawning areas increase the risk of having unpleasant encounters giving you little to no reward. Gear up un out-of-reach areas and then decide what you want to do: returning towards high-traffic areas or going on scouting the less popular parts of the map.

Persistent Off servers will not have as much loot as the Persistent On servers but do have a lower loot respawn. The good thing about that though is that the loot is actually distributed equally.
