Cherno: Slowly turning into a Bandit *1*

So, I logged in where I was previously in a Apparment in Cherno since that is where I logged out from last night. (Having a bit of fun flowing flares around and annoying zombies).

I was looting other Residential houses only to find a Gillie Suit and logged to have a quick break and to eat breakfast. I re logged after it and it dissapeared for some reason so I was annoyed since it was a mini rollback. (This was the side story before I got the kill).

I was walking around raiding Residential houses looking for some loot, and I stumbled upon a guy with a M249 staring at the stairs. My heart was pounded on what to do, I had the best chance to strike now since he isn't looking at me. so I put a full clip of Makarov PM into his poor head. Dropped to the floor whilst I loot his M249 and some medical and equipment supply's.

I ran out of there as quick as I can to the woods. I didn't feel bad since he should of heard me running through into that building. I guess I get lucky sometimes on these finds. (And it had plenty of ammo!)

Sorry for the bad story, it was my first one and my first kill. I guess I will become a bandit and get some sick loots.

(I will be posting a story about every kill I get on this character).

Good story man. I think I had Day Z karma catch up to me, after logging in tonight I was just hanging out in the crane, hoping to find someone with blood, and a sniper logs in next to me as I am eating sardines. I lost that fight. Ha.

Did you equip the suit? Once I got a Gillie suit and I didn't equip it, I logged off and it was gone.

Always equip it right away, then throw your civilian clothes away and it will be bound to you until you die.

Things don't save every second. If you found the gillie and then logged off right away there is a chance your character was not saved. Next time wait a couple minutes.

Good kill. Anyone with a machine gun or a sniper rifle is an automatic target imo.

Yeah thanks for the good feedback people, I just died with the M249 SAW. It has a little story behind it, I will tell you and trust me I wasn't trying to cheat in anyway.

So I was looting a barn just up from Cherno before I head up North so I logged in and looted the barn which consists of a Winchester, I made room in my Alice Pack and put it inside. Then a survivor came running in trying to shoot me. I put a full bleddy clip into him with my trusty Markarov PM and he didn't die and he managed to shoot me 2 times with his M1911. I was bleeding out and wasn't aware of the time that I had to go to my family for Roast Dinner since I was running late. I logged out in a corner and when I came back I logged in and then I was on the floor passed out. So I lost all of it.

This is a little bug that many people have. I guess it happens if you are bleeding out and you log out. First time it happened to me since I am not them people who log out from getting shot or zombie attacks. Kinda annoyed but I had to log :D

Decent story. However, other people's opinions on this matter shouldn't well... matter xD...

This was your first kill/first kill as a "bandit". Cherish this moment. It will stay with you for all of your DayZ days. I remember my first kill well... I'll never forget it, almost like popping your bandit cherry ;)

Also, in regards to your warning, it has nothing to do with bleeding per say. It is if you log out while SHOCKED (the 2 little white plug looking things.. I'm horrible at explaining how it looks). That will result in you being knocked out for roughly 5 minutes. If you also happen to be bleeding when this happens, there's a decent chance you'll bleed out unless you can get a friend to come save you.
