PS I have been sharing these vids for a while and I still haven't worked out how to actually make the video show in the thread, rather than just show a link. I'm such a noob! Please can someone explain it to me? ;)

Thanks very much! I guess I would never have worked that out without asking. I'm sure there is proably somewhere you can search for it but I had no idea where to look.

Not a problem, I had to try a few things at first.. I didn't search either, it's too broad of a topic to find exactly what your looking for unless your willing to spend 30 minutes sifting through threads. So, I thought maybe it would be the popular vid link here [./youtube] code but alas.. that failed, so trial and error on a preview post with the supplied code options got me there in the end :)

 

Nice vid btw.. pretty sad conclusion but at least you got 'some' redemption proir, it's always tricky up against a number of players, all out for blood... and discrepancies with the game itself never really help matters haha.

What the hell happened? First you spawned on the coast, which should be clear, if they weren't too dumb, when you went silent. Then you spawned at your last location? Funny bug.

There are servers that seem to not be connected to the hive therefore creating a kind of private shard(where only on that server you have that char) or even worse sometimes that every time you join it resets any char

It was what happened, then he went back to the same server hoping they were not there and got killed

However when I was logging into the original low pop server after the crash I was expecting to be dead and therefore a new spawn. So when I was one, I switched back to the other server, purely to start a fresh from Elektro as a new spawn. I had no reason to think my character was bugged and that I would be back at NW, I just presumed they had killed me while my character stood there for 30 seconds in the building after my game crashed.

I think there is a safety in place. In case your connection does get lost, your character is immediately removed from the game. I experienced it once with a friends when his pc froze up. But it does not happen every time.
