DayZ Will not work on LG UM95 34UM95 34-Inch Screen off of Laptop

Recommended Posts

I've had no trouble in the past, but with the recent patch, DayZ will not display on my LG UM95 Monitor that is connected to my ASUS Gamers Republic Laptop ( ASUS G750JH / Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M ). I can hear the game, but I've just got a black screen, then the monitor actually disconnects from my laptop, and everything gets all cluster fucked...

All other games start up fine with the LGUM95 as my primary monitor when connected to the laptop, and DayZ did the last time I played it. But for some reason it won't now. I tried deleting the DayZ.cfg file, but that did not work. I have to disconnect the monitor, start DayZ on my laptop only, mess with the settings, then restart it after reconnecting to the monitor, but none of the video configurations I've tried have worked and my monitor ends up disconnecting every time... what gives? Any help?

So it's the resolution problem. I have my monitor set for 3440x1440 resolution, for some reason DayZ won't detect this, and just shits out. Not very impressive....

So I had to go to the DayZ.cfg file and change the resolution and save it. simple fix, but how was I supposed to know? So anyone with an odd resolution will have to do this until they figure it the fuck out. Now I'm stuck in a house, so I guess they aren't making much progress, although the game was feeling really nice there for awhile....

Players still shoot on sight and don't aknowlege when you try to communicate.
